ABOUT US / BAND BIO
DIRT ROAD TRIBUTE — affectionately known as DRT— are a five-piece modern country rock powerhouse electrifying stages across New South Wales and beyond. What began in early 2023 as a Solo project for founder Rob Williams’ vision to deliver high-quality country cover shows has since evolved into one of Australia's most promising independent country acts.
From their roots in the Hunter Valley, DRT have quickly carved a name for themselves through a blend of heartfelt originals, crowd-favourite country covers, and high-energy performances that speak to the soul of country music lovers. Whether it’s a festival stage, a local pub, or a charity event, DRT never fail to turn up the volume and win over every crowd.
The full lineup—Rob, Mel, Nigel, Dragan, and Kiel —brings a wealth of experience as seasoned performers, published artists, and touring musicians.
Big Stages, Bigger Impact
Despite being a relatively new act, DRT has already played alongside legendary artists such as Greg Storer, Paul Costa, and Missy Lancaster, and performed across multiple venues at the 2024 Tamworth Country Music Festival. Their high-energy sets, tight musicianship, passionate vocals and ability to connect with audiences of all ages make every DRT show a standout experience.
Following the release of their debut original single“Seven More Minutes” A reflective track released under Rob Williams Music, capturing emotion and raw honesty, DRT released their second single, “Keep on Going,” in 2025—An anthemic and uplifting single released in support of flood victims throughout NSW — proving DRT’s commitment to community as well as music.
Community & Connection
More than just performers, DRT are community builders. Their recent charity performances — including flood recovery events and fundraising concerts — highlight their dedication to using music as a tool for healing, unity, and inspiration.
Whether they’re playing to a thousand-strong festival crowd or a small-town pub, DRT’s ability to connect with all ages through both original music and iconic covers makes them a standout in the Australian country scene.
Momentum into 2026 and Beyond
2025 has seen DRT's star continue to rise. With upcoming appearances at major events including Beats at the Bend (returning as headliners in October 2025), and performances alongside The Viper Creek Band, Brothers Hollow, and The Rams, the band’s reputation for dynamic live shows and crowd engagement is well-earned.
Looking ahead, with a packed 2025 schedule, high-profile invitations, and their debut original album on the horizon with new material that blends emotionally driven lyrics with powerful modern country instrumentation, 2026 is shaping up to be a breakout year for Dirt Road Tribute
